The Hepatitis A vaccine protects against a viral liver infection, often transmitted through contaminated water or food in many developing countries. This vaccine is highly recommended for anyone traveling to regions with limited sanitary conditions.
Hepatitis B is a serious viral disease transmitted through contact with infected blood or bodily fluids. Vaccination is particularly advised for travelers planning extended stays, medical procedures, or activities that expose them to a risk of blood contact.
Typhoid is a bacterial infection linked to the consumption of contaminated water or food. The typhoid vaccine is recommended for stays in areas where hygiene and sanitation are insufficient, to reduce the risk of illness.
Certain forms of bacterial meningitis can cause epidemics, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa (the meningitis belt). Meningitis vaccination is often mandatory for entry into certain countries or for participation in international events.
This mosquito-borne viral disease can cause severe brain inflammation. It is primarily found in rural Asia. The Japanese encephalitis vaccine is recommended for travelers who will be staying for a long time or engaging in outdoor activities in these regions.
Rabies is a fatal viral disease transmitted by the bite of infected animals, particularly in certain regions of Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Rabies vaccination is recommended for travelers likely to come into contact with animals or in cases where immediate medical care is difficult to access.
Yellow fever is a viral infection transmitted by mosquitoes in certain tropical areas of South America and Africa. Vaccination is mandatory for entry into several affected countries and also allows for obtaining the international vaccination certificate.
Dengue is a viral disease transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes in tropical and subtropical regions. Although there isn’t yet a widely accessible vaccine for everyone, it’s important to take preventive measures to avoid bites when traveling.
Chikungunya, also transmitted by mosquitoes, causes symptoms similar to dengue. Prevention primarily relies on protection against mosquito bites, as no specific vaccine is currently available.
Although not preventable by vaccine, traveler’s diarrhea remains a common ailment during travel. Advice on food hygiene and prompt management are essential to limit its impact.

We understand that you may have questions regarding travel health consultations. Feel free to browse the answers to frequently asked questions.
A travel health consultation includes a comprehensive evaluation by a healthcare professional to determine the vaccines, prescriptions, and advice tailored to your destination, itinerary, medical conditions, and duration of stay. If necessary, prescriptions for vaccines, preventive medications (e.g., antimalarials), or for the treatment of traveler’s diarrhea, as well as requests for additional tests, can be issued at no extra cost. Access to a travel health expert physician is also included in the consultation fee when necessary. A receipt will be provided for insurance purposes.
We recommend consulting 6 to 8 weeks before departure to allow for the complete administration of vaccine schedules and the implementation of prophylactic medications. However, it’s never too late: vaccines, prescriptions, and advice can be provided even shortly before departure and have a significant impact on your protection.
Even if no entry vaccine is required, certain vaccines are highly recommended to protect your health (e.g., Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Tetanus). Some countries require specific vaccines for entry (e.g., Yellow Fever, Meningitis). Priveo Santé’s health professionals will assess your needs based on your destination and profile.
Several private insurers reimburse all or part of the travel vaccination costs. As coverage varies, check with your insurance provider. A detailed receipt will be provided for your reimbursement claims.
Yes. Priveo Santé offers services for groups (student trips, organized tours, businesses) and group vaccination sessions, particularly for rabies schedules or other vaccines, which often allows for advantageous rates.
Depending on your destination, we generally recommend: a first-aid kit, oral rehydration solution, mosquito repellent, compression stockings for long-haul flights, disinfectant solution, and, if necessary, a sterile syringe kit with a transport certificate provided by the clinic. Specific recommendations for you and your trip will be shared during the consultation.
Yes. Children must receive vaccines and advice tailored to their age and destination. Protecting the whole family is important: some vaccines cause fewer complications in children than in adults, hence the importance of personalized follow-up.
